I have sometimes chance to work for power plant, such as translation of documents between English and Japanese technically, plant erection is really complex work because of heavy amount of technocal document of validity or assuarence, however, maneger and engineer can't achive perfect products owing to paying high attention in their work, many provider and many designer, and workforce works for elect plant, diffrent nationalities, language, etc...
A huge nonbers of wire, pipe, cabinet, mechanical, and interface have to integrate control systematically, additionally, many roles and lows are there to build safety plant.
However, all of technical things includes plant has possiblity containg errors or mistakes during produces, as well as science, tecnology have assumptions to use similar to user manual for your appriance.
Because of integrating of assumptions of products contained, plant can't operate automatically, but it can not be completedly operatr by human, there is no exists to know all of the details.
For exaple of auto, do you know all of details while driving? Plants are as well.
Desaster of Japan are unfortunate accident, and the plat is really old maybe be considered stop or renewal recently.
But, recent tecnical develops enable us to operate and design more safety using IT such as simulator, CAD, and CAE, I think if all plats will be renewed, there are high possiblety to prevent such desaster. |
